* : ETUC comments on the Proposal for Guidelines on the Employment Policies of the Member States

Dear social attachés,

The upcoming discussions at the Social Questions Working Party will address the Employment Guidelines. In preparation for these discussions, I would like to bring to your attention a few key considerations from the European Trade Union Confederation.

Please find attached our assessment and some proposed changes.

We believe that the proposed changes are crucial for addressing the current challenges in the European labour market, particularly in the areas of equal treatment, decent wages, programs for job creation, and the role of the Public Employment Services in outreaching strategies, among other issues. Our proposals aim to create a more equitable and sustainable framework for employment across the Member States.

Should you require further information or details on the trade union proposals, please do not hesitate to contact the ETUC senior advisor Ignacio Doreste at [email protected].

Best regards,

Tea Jarc
