  • To ETUC member organisations

Dear colleagues,

We are thrilled to announce the launch of registration for the fourth edition of the Platforum, taking place in Nicosia on 25-26 September 2025, kindly hosted at the headquarters and with the support of our member SEK Cyprus.

This year’s Platforum comes at an important moment for platform work, as we mark one year into the transposition process of the Platform Work Directive—a process in which our members continue to play a pivotal role. And of course, this does not happen in a vacuum. Across Europe, workers are taking the streets to demand decent working conditions, fair taxation of wealthy corporations, and an end to austerity measures threatening pensions and public services. The Platforum remains a vital space to unite, strategise, and push for fairer rules in the platform economy.

The Platforum is a growing space, offering a programme that encompasses high-level exchanges with decision-makers alongside workshops where platform workers, trade unionists, academics, practitioners, and civil society can discuss both persistent and emerging challenges and opportunities.

With this email, we are officially opening registrations and inviting you to submit possible proposals to organise a workshop as part of the official programme

Thanks to the financial support of our EU-funded Fair Platforms project and of FES Future of Work, we aim to cover expenses for a large number of participants. At the same time, we recognise that the growing success of this event is also thanks to ETUC members who self-fund their participation—a solidarity we deeply appreciate, particularly toward smaller organisations that rely on financial support to attend.

Key details:

  • Dates: The Platforum will open on 25 September (after lunch) and close on 26 September (an evening reception will take place).
  • Accommodation & Travel: ETUC will book and cover accommodation for around 80 people for two nights (25th & 26th September) with no flexibility for exceptions. Travel expenses will be reimbursed in line with the attached reimbursement rules. Please, read this document carefully.
  • Registration & Confirmation: Participants will be confirmed in batches to allow for timely travel arrangements.
  • Interpretation: Plenary sessions will have interpretation in EN, ES, IT, FR and GR.
  • Draft Agenda: A preliminary agenda will be shared in early July.

We look forward to welcoming both returning and new participants to this landmark event.

Register now at this link and help shape the discussion! The deadline for registration is 30th June 2025.

In the first round of registrations, ETUC will accept 2 people claiming reimbursement per organisation. Selected participants entitled to reimbursement will receive a confirmation by ETUC in the first week of July.

We invite you to register more participants as additional spots will be distributed in a second round according to availability. Participants who will not claim reimbursement must also register via the link.

If you have ideas for workshops, we encourage you to propose them—these sessions are key to fostering connections and building the strong networks needed to secure decent working conditions for all platform workers.

Please, submit your project proposal at this link.

Our team, Lucie ([email protected]) ; Cecilia ([email protected]), remains at your disposal for all additional questions.

In solidarity,

Tea Jarc
