The ETUC is recruiting a full time Policy Advisor to work on Youth policies under the supervision of the ETUC elected team.

Description
The successful candidate will:
- Coordinate the activities and projects of the ETUC Youth Committee, provide policy support in areas relating to youth employment, the situation of young workers on the labour market and within trade unions;
- Monitor political initiatives targeting young people at EU level;
- Organise and follow up meetings and events for the ETUC Youth committee, represent the ETUC on issues pertaining to young workers on the labour market at internal and external events;
- Coordinate various projects, implement activities and coordinate the work with various project teams;
- Liaise with other organisations and institutions on research and training opportunities for young people;
- Assist with communication, campaigns and outreach activities, especially social media, related to the work of the ETUC.
Profile
- Experience in the trade union movement and with European institutions is a necessity;
- Knowledge and experience in Youth Policy;
- Strong knowledge on (youth) employment and labour market policies, new forms of work, but also knowledge on social inclusion, social security, and housing policies would be an asset;
- Excellent written and spoken English, with a very good command of a second language. Other languages would be an asset;
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Experience of coordinating big projects, especially experience with European projects would be a distinct asset;
- Experience with communication, campaigns and outreach activities, especially social media;
- Proven track record of demonstrating initiative and delivering results;
- Excellent drafting skills;
- Ability to work in an international multicultural environment;
- Ability to work with young people, motivating young people, adapting the communication, approaches and methodology to style and needs of young people.

The daily work will be undertaken in the ETUC offices in Brussels. Occasional travel may be required.
