The European Trade Union Confederation offers its solidarity and condolences to the victims of the Westminster attack and the people of London.
“I am shocked and saddened by this horrible attack,” said ETUC General Secretary Luca Visentini. “The ETUC stands with Britain, the people of London, and sends heartfelt condolences to the victims and their families. I thank the emergency and security services who responded quickly and fearlessly to this violent attack. Attacks like this one, and larger-scale ones which have occurred in other European cities, including in Brussels exactly one year ago, will only strengthen our shared commitment to democracy, the rule of law and resolving issues through peaceful means.”
