Statement to the EU-Ukraine Association Council, 28 January 2020
On the occasion of the EU-Ukraine Association Council that meets to assess the progress Ukraine has achieved in implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement, the European and Ukrainian trade unions condemn the recent violations of this Agreement by the government of Ukraine, which introduced a number of amendments to the labour laws without any consultations with social partners as required by national and international legislation.

ETUC position on the EU-Vietnam Free Trade and Investment Protection Agreements
Adopted at the Executive Committee Meeting of 17-18 December 2019
Background
Brussels, 10 November 2019
Dear friends,
The European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC), which represents fifty million workers, has received with great joy news of the release of President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, 580 days after his political arrest at the Federal Police Superintendency in Curitiba. Today more than ever it is clear that the judges and prosecutors related to Bolsonaro wanted to imprison the ideas of justice and social progress that Lula and you represent.
Lula has been, and is, a point of reference for the entire international trade union movement.
