Youth Committee 8-9 December 2025 in Amsterdam

Dear members of the Youth Committee, 

We are pleased to open registrations for the upcoming ETUC Youth Committee meeting, which will take place on 8^th and  9^th  December 2025 in Amsterdam, kindly hosted by our Dutch affiliates CNV and FNV.

Following your feedback from past meetings, the agenda will follow a more interactive format, with greater focus on thematic discussions and member engagement.

The meeting will consist of:

• A Workshop on Traineeships  (8 December, 15:00–17:30), open also to external participants invited by CNV and FNV.

• The Youth Committee meeting (9 December), structured around three thematic blocks for in-depth exchanges and strategic planning.

Thematic Blocks and Guiding Questions:

1. European Youth Forum (YFJ)

ETUC Youth has long been part of Europe’s largest youth organisation, but our involvement has not always been as active as it could be. We want to reflect together on how to strengthen the workers’ voice within YFJ and define our collective priorities.

Guiding questions for discussion:

• How do you cooperate at national level with YFJ members (e.g. National Youth Councils, NGOs)?

• What should ETUC’s priorities be within the YFJ?

2. Apprenticeships

The European Quality Framework for Apprenticeships is largely an ETUC achievement. As the Youth Committee, we wish to continue this active engagement and reinforce our links with the ETUC Training, VET and Skills Committee to shape the ongoing policy debate.

3. Regional Focus

ETUC is a diverse organisation, and regional realities differ. This session will enable strategic reflection on regional and long-term youth priorities, guided by our Bureau members: ETUC Youth elects new leadership | ETUC

Guiding questions for group discussion :

• What are your regional priorities?

• What concrete topics should be discussed at the next Youth Committee meeting in June 2026?

• What should be the objectives for the next ETUC Youth mandate after the elections in June 2026?
